2025 Annual Meeting Recap and 181st Election of Officers
Worshipful Master George F. Viamontes delivers his report for the year
Worshipful Master George F. Viamontes closed a memorable year in the East marked by strong ritual work, real growth, and a focus on education and fellowship. Under his leadership, Oriental read five petitions, initiated four new brothers, passed three to the degree of Fellowcraft, and raised four to the sublime degree of Master Mason, with all three Third Degrees held at the Acacia Park Mausoleum. The lodge helped fund needed repairs to the mausoleum roof through its work there, preserving the resting place of many of our brethren and their families. Oriental received the Grand Lodge Lodge Growth Award, earned the Scottish Rite membership trophy with eight brothers joining that body, saw several brothers take their York Rite Chapter degrees, launched the Acacia Foundation Lecture Series, and reimagined Past Masters’ Night as “A Night in the East,” open to family and friends. Throughout his year, he reminded us that “you are the Lodge,” encouraging every brother to bring his talents forward and help continue building the legacy of Oriental Lodge No. 33.
We will soon celebrate the conclusion of WB Viamontes’s year and the beginning of a new chapter at our 181st Installation of Officers and 180th Anniversary Celebration at La Villa on November 21, 2025. Details and RSVP information are available here:
