Acacia Foundation Education Night
Quantum Computing: Simulating the Quantum
Date: Tuesday, December 9, 2025
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: 5418 W Gale St, Chicago, IL 60630
The Acacia Foundation will host Dr. George F. Viamontes for a talk on quantum computing, an emerging field at the intersection of physics, mathematics, and information theory.
Quantum computing explores a universe where information behaves probabilistically rather than in the strictly on/off way of classical computers. Dr. Viamontes will introduce the core concepts behind quantum information, explain why they defy our usual intuition, and discuss how these ideas are reshaping the way we think about computation, communication, and even knowledge itself.
All brethren, families, and interested guests are welcome and encouraged to attend.
"Observe good faith and justice towards all." -Brother George Washington
