Rescheduled - Oriental Fellowship Ride

As there are several brethren at Oriental that enjoy passing time riding their motorcycles we have decided to add another social outing to our activities. We are going to be meeting at Starbucks at 7100 N. Northwest Highway on Saturday July 31st. It's just south of Touhy and can be found at this link.

We will be leaving at approximately 7:30AM, we will ride to Bristol Wisconsin for breakfast and then ride back to the Chicago area. We should be home at approximately 2PM. 

Brother Paulnitsky will be the ride captain for the day and will brief everyone on the ride that morning before we leave.

Please feel free to invite anyone that you think would enjoy a nice easy Saturday morning ride with some great friends!

N.E. District Annual Picnic

Lodge members, families and guests are welcome to come enjoy the summer fun! Games for adults and children will be provided as well as great food and beverages! This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to gather and get to spend time together outside of Lodge with families and friends.  Please come out and join us for a few hours of fun!

Please make sure to bring chairs as seating is limited.

Remember everyone should bring a bag of ice for the coolers!

Upcoming IL CHIP Events

Oriental Lodge will be helping and participating in several IL CHIP events this summer and fall.  We are looking for more volunteers to help out with this great service that our fraternity provides to the public at no cost.  Please check out their web page for more specific information.  Anyone who wishes to volunteer to assist contact R.W. Brother Manny Roth at (331) 462-2110 or send him an email here.  We need at least 1 volunteer for each event so please do everything that you can to attend one or more of these sessions.  If we have enough volunteers we will be able to work half shifts.

Downtown outing, Wednesday, May 19th

Our May downtown outing will be at Clark Street Ale House, which is located at 742 N. Clark Street.  I will plan to be there by 6 PM, so feel free to show up at any time after that. 

If you do intend to show up I'd appreciate an email, so that I know to be on the lookout for you. As always, though, you're more than welcome to show up even if you have not provided advance word.

The purpose of these downtown outings, for those who don't know, is threefold.  First, to enable new candidates to meet Oriental lodge members in a casual setting, and learn about the lodge.  Second, to provide a regular event in Downtown Chicago, to keep Oriental Lodge's downtown orientation, in spite of our Jefferson Park meeting location.  Finally, third, to have a good time and promote fellowship.

Cubs Rooftop Fundraiser

Our brethren at DC Cregier Lodge #81 have invited Oriental Lodge and everyone who can attend to their first Cubs Rooftop Fundraiser!  Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the ongoing support of: The Illinois Masonic Children’s Home, OMNI Youth Services in Wheeling and DC Cregier Lodge.

Join us for Past Masters Night!

Oriental Lodge cordially invites you to attend our annual Past Master’s Night which will take place Tuesday May 11^th, 2010. The purpose of the evening will be to honor those members of our lodge who have served in the oriental chair.

This will be an evening of fun and fellowship. We will begin the evening at 6:30 p.m. with a delicious catered Italian dinner prepared at Past Master Domenico Mancini’s family business, Lucia’s Ristorante. Dinner for our Past Masters is, of course, complimentary. We will open lodge at 7:30 p.m. and will briefly transact the current business of the lodge. We will then recall the recent history of the lodge, introduce each of our Past Masters and hear their remarks. 

We hope you will be able to join us for this special event. It will give our current active members and officers an opportunity to meet you and to learn about the important recent history of our lodge. You also will have a chance to see how your works have prospered during the passing years. Past Masters are requested to please email our Secretary with your R.S.V.P. as soon as possible.

Downtown outing, Thursday, April 22nd

Our April downtown outing will be at the Tilted Kilt, which is located at 17 N Wabash. Unfortunately, the beautiful weather we've had this week is not expected to continue, so I judged it wiser to start inside, and then go outside to smoke cigars later in the evening if weather permits. I will plan to be there by 6 PM, so feel free to show up at any time after that.

Our March downtown outing will be tomorrow, March 18th, at the Clark Street Ale House, which is located at 742 N Clark St.  I will plan to be there by 6 PM, so feel free to show up at any time after that.
